The proposal

Moto are proposing a new Motorway Service Area at Junction 15 of the A1 (M) near Sawtry.  It will involve a £20m investment and create 121 permanent jobs.

The new service area will involve demolishing all the current buildings on site (including the operational business) and transforming the whole area.  The proposal includes:

  • An amenity building including a Marks & Spencer Simply Food, Costa Coffee, WH Smith, Greggs, Burger King and possibly a Kentucky Fried Chicken

  • Fuel Filling Station

  • Parking and Electric Vehicle charging points

  • Dedicated 24 hr provision for HGVs

  • Access into the site via an improved entrance with traffic lights

  • Possible pedestrian link to the site for local staff

You can downloads the handouts from the consultation event held in June here.
